All foreign nationals need Indian Visa to enter India. If you're living in Canada and are a Canadian Citizen or a citizen of any other country other than India, you are required to apply for Indian Visa if you want to visit the country for any reasons. The Indian Visa Application you submit from Canada is subjected to the BLS service charge for an amount of CAD 9.82 + Taxes.

Here Are The Basic Guidelines To Appy For Indian Visa

  • All overseas citizens, except the ones from Nepal and Bhutan, need a visa to enter India.
  • The individuals having the citizenship of Cambodia, Japan, Finland, Luxembourg, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, New Zealand, Singapore and Vietnam can get a "Tourist Visa on Arrival." The visa received upon arrival will have the validity for 30 days and only single entry is allowed. Visa on approval facility is only available at the international airports at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai & Kolkata.
  • Indian visas are only issued on passports and NOT on travel documents. However, the Tibetan nationals can get their Indian visa on their travel documents.
  • Visa applicants must fill all fields on the application form. In case you miss your documents and do not fill your form completely, you may face delay in the processing of your application. Incomplete application form(s) will not be accepted or processed.
  • In order to be able to apply for Indian Visa, your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 190 days and must have 2 blank pages. One of the two plank pages on your passport will be used for affixing the visa sticker and other page will be used for entry and exit from India by the immigration officer.
  • In case your visa application is rejected or cancelled, the visa fee that you submitted won't be refunded to you.
  • The successful submission of visa fee does not guarantee that you'll get a visa. The High Commission of India & the Consulate General(s) have the right to refuse or delay your visa without mentioning any reason.
  • After you have been granted the visa, the officials at Airport will check whether or not you're admissible in India and they reserve the right to deny you the entry in the country. The visa can be revoked immediately without giving you the reason; and the Government of India can ask a foreign citizen, who is already in India, to leave the country.
  • Vaccination is not necessary for those travelling to India from Canada. However, persons coming from or passing through Yellow Fever infected areas are required to be in possession of a valid certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever before arriving in India. An AIDS test is required for persons aged 18 to 70 years who wish to stay in India for more than one year.
  • For COVID-19, please check new guidelines from Indian Government or discuss with our consultant.
  • In case of an emergency, you must provide two references from India and Canada each. Their names and contact information must be mentioned on the application form.
  • Please make sure that you submit your application with most recent and complete contact details.
